What determines the fee
Set before the instruction is accepted, not discovered afterwards
The fee for a report depends on what is actually being asked for: the type of report, the volume of medical records to be reviewed, and whether a face-to-face examination is required. A condition and prognosis report on a straightforward injury is not the same undertaking as a breach and causation opinion running to several hundred pages of records.
Rather than leave that open, the current schedule is sent in full on request, normally the same working day, together with the terms and conditions. Nothing is billed that has not been agreed in advance.

Fixed report fees
Fixed fees are available, so the cost of the report is agreed at the outset rather than billed by the hour and settled later.
NHS Resolution panel rates
Separate rates apply for NHS Resolution panel solicitors.
Deferred payment
Deferred payment terms are available, which is frequently relevant in personal injury work where payment follows the conclusion of the claim.
Claimant and Defendant alike
The same terms apply irrespective of who instructs. The opinion, and the fee, do not vary with the source of instruction.
Obtaining the current schedule
The fee schedule and full terms and conditions are sent on request. An efficient office handles correspondence promptly, mindful of the cost and time pressures of litigation.
